The Rau For Art Foundation is pleased to present the 2020 Scholarship Competition Finalist Virtual Exhibition.

There’s No Place Like Earth!

Every year, we present the challenge to young artists in five parishes across the region to create something extraordinary. We hope the results will challenge their peers, inspire their community, or simply represent an
example of the best versions of themselves. This exhibition embodies these goals as it is made up of the
works of the top 10 finalists from this year’s competition. Please click each image to learn more about the works in this Virtual Exhibition.

Three winners, who combined receive $12,500 in scholarships, will be selected by a judge panel of notable New Orleanians including Public Programs Manager at NOMA, Jennifer Williams, artists Ashley Teamer, Carl Joe Williams, and Karel Sloane-Boekbinder, Curator of the Carroll Gallery at Tulane University, Laura Richens, Gallery Owner and Director of the Arthur Roger Gallery, Arthur Roger, and Special Projects and Programming Coordinator for the Historic New Orleans Collection, Elizabeth Ogden.

The Rau for Art Foundation was founded by M.S. Rau Antiques in 2012 as a way to give back to our community. We support arts education in the schools of Greater New Orleans by helping talented young artists reach their goals by providing necessary funding opportunities.
