Teacher Assistance Fund
RFA’s annual Teacher Assistance Fund assists high school arts educators in their efforts to empower young artists by providing art supplies to classrooms in need.
Educators are eligible for art supply awards of up to $1,000 per school. The program supports teachers developing ambitious classroom art projects as well as educators in need of basic materials.
Supporting Art Education in Local Classrooms
RFA accepts one application per school. Teachers are encouraged to collaborate on a single proposal when several art educators at the same school are interested in participating.
High school art teachers and educators in Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany and St. Charles Parishes are eligible to apply.
If a school is selected, RFA purchases the requested supplies on the school’s behalf and delivers them directly to the classroom. There is no fee to apply.

One Proposal Per School

No Application Fee
There is no fee to submit a Teacher Assistance Fund proposal.

Can more than one teacher at my high school submit a proposal?

Will you partially award any submissions?
Yes. If one portion of a proposal supports the Foundation’s mission while another portion does not, RFA may choose to fund only the eligible portion.
