Who We Are
M.S. Rau, one of the world’s respected fine art, antiques and jewelry galleries, celebrated its centennial in 2012. The Rau for Art Foundation was created to mark that milestone by investing in young artistic talent and giving back to the Greater New Orleans community.
Today, the Foundation supports students and educators through scholarships, exhibition opportunities and classroom art-supply awards. Rau for Art Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Supporting Art Education Across Greater New Orleans
Rau for Art Foundation supports arts appreciation and education in local schools by helping talented young artists pursue their academic and professional goals in the arts.
The Foundation works directly with students, teachers and schools through two primary programs: the Art Scholarship Competition and the Teacher Assistance Fund.
These programs provide college scholarship funding, exhibition opportunities and classroom art materials where they can make a direct difference.
Practical Support at Defining Moments

Supporting Students and Their Teachers
Each program addresses a different part of the art education experience while advancing the same goal: stronger opportunities for young artists.
