Apply for the funding you need to support creativity and the arts in your school!
The Rau for Art Foundation created the Teacher Assistance Fund to assist high school art educators in their efforts to creatively teach young artists. Each school year, the Foundation will accept applications in which the teacher outlines a need or wish that we can help fund.
Educators are eligible to win $500 to $2,500 for their school’s art program. Up to $5,000 IN FUNDS WILL BE AWARDED!
To apply, fill out the online application or you may download, fill out and send us by mail or fax the mail-in application detailing your project, including a clear outline of your needs, implementation strategies, measurable objectives, and a projected budget. Please use as much detail as possible, so we can find the best way to support you!
The application deadline is Friday, March 24, 2017.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can more than one teacher at my high school submit a proposal?
No, at this time we are only accepting one proposal per school. We encourage collaboration on proposals if various art teachers at your school are interested.
2. How does funding work?
The potential maximum award per school is $2,500, with a minimum of $500. Total funds awarded for the 2017-2018 Teacher Assistance Fund will not exceed $5,000. Funds will be given in accordance with respective school policies.
3. How many proposals will be awarded funding?
The number of awards given will depend on the quantity of auspicious entries that are submitted, adding up to a total of $5000. The total $5000 will only be awarded if we receive enough submissions that are in alignment with our mission statement.
4. Will you partially award any submissions?
Yes, if we find that part of your proposal meets our mission and other parts do not, we may decide to award only a portion of your proposal.
5. Who is eligible to apply?
High school art teachers and educators from Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, St. Tammany AND St. Charles Parishes are all eligible and encouraged to apply.
