Submitting Your Work

5. What is the deadline for submissions?

Submissions to the 3rd annual Scholarship Contest will be accepted through January 12, 2015.

6. How should I submit my work?

If you prefer to submit your work online:

If you submit your image via our website, please ensure that you complete the entire submission form so that your work will be correctly identified. Works submitted via the website without proper identification will not be considered.

 

If you prefer to submit your work by mail:

All preliminary entries should be submitted as a single, high-quality color copy/print/photo/printed scan no larger than 8.5” x 11” (standard sheet of paper). If you submit them by mail, your mailing must be postmarked no later than the deadline date, and your image should be labeled on the reverse with your information.

 

Also, to insure that we can clearly see your work in the image you submit to us, please put your artwork on a solid black or white background.

Preliminary image submissions will not be returned.

 

Remember, DO NOT send us your actual work of art. 

7. Should I put my name on my work?

Absolutely, but please do not put your name on the front of your piece.  The following information is required for your entry:

Name:

Address:

City, State, Zip

School/Teacher Info:

Title of your work:

Medium:

Dimensions:

 

Please also include a small paragraph about yourself and the concept behind your creation with your submission. 

 

If you submit your work by snail mail, attach a sheet of paper to your submission with the above information.

8. Do I need to submit a biography with my work?

Yes. We encourage you to submit a small paragraph about yourself and the concept behind your creation with your submission.

9. Can I submit more than one work to the competition?

No, you are allowed only one submission, completed only by YOU.

10. Can I get my submission back after the contest is over?

Preliminary entries (your mailed copy of your piece) will not be returned to you.  However, if you are chosen as a Finalist who submits their actual work of art, your entry will be returned.
